Description:


In general a gear train is a combination of gear wheels by which motion is transferred gradually from one shaft to another shaft. Now if we describe an epicyclic gear train these are the ones in which axis of shafts on which the gears are mounted move relative to a fixed axis.

It is a motorized unit comprising of a SUN (main) gear mounted on input shaft. Planet gears are connected with the annular gear. These planet gears are placed a common rod on which output shaft is mounted. A load setup is provided for loading the equipment and to measure the holding torque.
